Can't help comparing a fact relating to two sports with huge numbers of participants in this country. Now, granted, football has millions of people watching it compared with the few people who watch fishing, but there are supposed to be around 3m anglers in the UK, and far fewer people playing football at any level. How can it be, then, that there are only 15 members of this Forum and over 3,000 members - and growing - on the Guiseley FC Forum? Whilst it's an undeniable fact that Guiseley footy know how to market themselves, have an ever increasing fanbase and a stadium that's visible in the town, but does football really have 200 x more people interested in it locally than fishing? One to ponder, methinks...
