Had a nice day fishing with Dave New on the Tarn today,  after a very severe frost  and in bright sunshine  we managed to angle out 3 nice conditioned Mirrors  . All falling to the same bait on similar rigs  . no pic cos the biggest was 11.25 lb, but 3 welcome catches anyway. |

First session of the year today, myself and my mate were at the Tarn, Bloody cold, with 30mph gusts, i blanked which i talked myself into really, but Paul bagged a low double mirror which a passing regular seem to recognise as being one of the fish caught yesterday.
Well todays blank has just made me want more and more, so lets hope these warm fronts that are here in the coming weeks turns the place on a bit. Happy Days

What rig and bait were you using, as the crayfish seem to be a problem for bottom bait's at the moment.

the biggest i no been out of the tarn is a 29lb 8oz common about 6 years ago

Well, fished tarn today and the only thing i managed to locate was a pile of dog shit lol. 6 people fishing and 2 carp caught , pegs 10/11, dont know what on as i was on peg 49. There is always another day, tight lines peeps |

Not heard of any fish being caught on the east bank this year!, maybe it's time someone tried as there is deeper water that side and in cold conditions  ?? who knows? I am gonna put up a bottle of Champers for the first 20lb carp caught this year (Verified by a Bailiff - we have 3 now!! and Photograph put on here!!) but from the South-East bank pegs 32-50. Come-on Les 50p says you can!! |
